Bridge-ing Your Way to Fun New Game of Golf

Making the golf game even more fun can be made simple by playing the game just a little bit differently.  If you have a foursome ready to go play golf, why not play a game of Bridge on the golf course.  While it is somewhat like the card game, it is actually a game of chance and strategy that can give your golf game a little bit more excitement and fun for all of you.  How is the game played?

The foursome splits into pairs.  At the tee, one pair of players bids on the number of strokes that they believe that they can finish the hole in together.  For example, if you bid 8, you are saying that you and your partner will get both balls into the hole in 8 shots or less combined and you bet on this.  The bet is normally one dollar per player.  The other pair can choose to bid lower than what you have bid, take the bet, or take the bet and double it (in this case $2 per player).  If the bet is doubled, the first pair can double it again if wanted.

Now the hole is played just like normal.  You can choose to have the team that goes over the bet pay $1 per stroke that they go over the bet or you can play for the original betting price that you set.  Either way, you will find that this game is great fun and you may make a little extra money, too!

If you are golfing with a foursome, consider playing Bridge.  It can give your golf game more competitiveness and fun that all four of you will enjoy.  If you want to give your golf game new life with your golfing friends, you will want to consider this game.  Depending upon how good you and your partner are, you may soon find yourself Bridge-ing your way to winning!
