50th Bob Hope Classic: A picture frame of desert, sand and mountain

A majestic view and show down in beautiful Palm Springs California, a virtual gift in the first month of the 2009 Golf season. As players from the PGA tour join their host; Arnold Palmer for some great golf in only the 3rd week of the season.

In the field there will be 12 past champions of this very tournament six of which have won a major championship.  In addition to the six there are 7 other players that are competing this weekend that have won a major.  The talent here will show off some of the PGA’s most impressive golfers.

There are three players that are in the top ten of 2009 standings in the tournament and that shows that this tournament has attracted players that are ready to compete and are playing some good golf.  That includes David Toms who had a strong start to his season last week.

The Bob Hope Classic is being hosted at 4 different courses during the week and players will see the PGA West- Course for the first time, the West course was originally designed by Arnold Palmer in 1986.  The players will also play the Bermuda Dunes, a more familiar course that has been a part of the classic for forty eight years.

It should be an interesting weekend as the PGA tour moves off the Hawaiian Islands for a West Coast swing. To view more golf information: Sports-Links.org / Golf - Golf Web Directory
